It’s a shelter, a roof. It's the shepherd's retreat.
A contained space, where we depart from and come back.
It is nonetheless an infinite space that grows when our skills and knowledge grow.
It’s who we are and where we're at.
It combines different aspects of LiM, from archive
to office, from kitchen to bedroom, it’s where we gather our research and from where we share it.

Ghyslaine Gau
Artist performer. I dance, think, create from the in between worlds. My work is mainly thinking from an Afrofeminist and decolonial soil. I’m interested in the relation between personal and collective spaces/experiences and I’m using different medias to support and empower my proposals. These last years have particularly gathered around practices related to internal organic energy in discussion with external systems (political and cosmical). To join LiMm is a way for me to insist on the urgency to share our resources and raise new ways of living together.
Marie Descourtieux
For over 45 years, I've been accompanying and producing artists in all creative fields, because I'm passionate about all artistic gestures. After creating a dance company in 1979 with Bouvier /Obadia, I have worked in publishing, film, music and theater, the humanities, design and poetry. For me, it's artists who give meaning to the world. That's why I'm thrilled by LiM's questions and proposals for new horizons. Le Four à Pain, the residency center I'm creating on the Causse Méjean for artists in the fields of writing (in all disciplines) and the visual and plastic arts, could be a place that resonates with LiM's ongoing reflections. Being part of the landscape, a renewed relationship with the “stage”, and thinking about nature as a place for performance are essential themes for me, and I'd be delighted to contribute to LiM.Chiharu Mamiya
Japan, France/Dancer, Choreographe. Born in Japan. After an assiduous classical ballet training, she moved to France in 1996 to explore more in the dance world. As a dancer/choreographer, she has been working in France and in Europe and collaborating with artists from different horizons such as contemporary circus, theater and music (Kubilaï Khan Investigations, Gilles Jobin, Nicole Seiler, Cirque Anomalie, Catherina Sagna, Jörg Müller, François Verret…) and developed her taste of trans-diciplinarity. Since her solo “Yamima” in 2011, how to relate people through artistic action is the core of her research, by giving and counter giving the creativity. She is interested in poetic expressions which take shape between fragility and plasticity of human beings, especially in the natural environment. She founded her company ELBISSOP in south of France in 2014 and develops her own style of dance collaboration with different genres of arts. She invited Maki Morishita and collaborated with Delphine Lanson for “Danser le Tambo!” in the project of Tambo Art in Camargues, for Marseille Provence culturel capital 2013, and co-realised “Yamima Furoshiki” in 2015. She takes parts in short and long films. She was an OMI dance resident in the state of New York in 2018. She joined Circus company Anomalie since 2009 and participated as a dancer/choreographer in several creations such as « Dans le ventre de la ballerine ».
Myriam Suchet
Myriam Suchet is searching, and getting lost a lot. Her literary path is undisciplined, somewhere between France and Quebec. A lecturer in French literature at the Sorbonne Nouvelle, she has directed the Centre d'études en études québécoises since its creation in 2012. A member of the Institut Universitaire de France, she works in the interstices where institutions meet other spaces of research-action-creation.
Pedro Pina Vasconcelos
Born in the summer of 1980 in Lisbon. After living in Portugal and New Zealand, upon returning to Europe in 2009, he underwent Photographic Studies in the Institut d’Estudis Fotografics de Catalunya (IEFC), and initiated his photographic path, advancing in the elaboration of personal and collective projects both in commercial and in artistic/exhibition, interdisciplinary collaborations or venue field. His author/personal photographic expression is bonded to experimentation with different possibilities of image and perception, combining the essence of different areas, such as dance and landscape, which have been materialized in different photographic, visual and performatic collaborations in Lisbon, Barcelona, Prague, Berlin, among others. In Lisbon now, Pedro has re-discovered the taste for the soul of the imagery of Lisbon, materialized in photographic workshops, while expanding his personal work, as often as possible, establishing new grounds for future projects development and collaborations between different artistic disciplines. He works closely with the performing arts scene, for dance, theatre or other performative events, as well as in collaborations in dance/choreographic field and synergic/hybrid projects. With LiM as another essential “cradle” for creations and the interaction with wonderful artists of different fields, Pedro aims to give continuity to “landscape-dance-image” projects.www.pedropinav.com
Severine Parouty
Contemporary dancer and choreographer of previous creations within the Cie “Faux Mouvement”, which she founded in 1998. Her work is mainly influenced by the training she received at the Centre Chorégraphique National de Montpellier, following professional courses given by Cie Bagouet, and later by Cie Mathilde Monnier, as well as at Wachsfabrick in Cologne (Germany). Her experience spans disciplines as varied as danse escalade, ambulatory shows, performance art, theater and other forms of live performance. She continues to work on the basis of encounters, and takes part in numerous projects with different companies around themes or questions she shares with them. She is an associate artist at Théâtre La Genette Verte until 2024.

My professional life and experience span natural history, design and visual art. I have a BA in Zoology and an MLA in Landscape Architecture. My working life has included working in landscape architecture practice, lecturing in landscape design and working on climate change design advocacy. I am currently finishing a masters degree in Fine Art. From art to zoology my interest is coming from a deep connection and genuine fascination with drawing, natural history and land. I hope to bring my experience and interests to LiM.
Pedro Miguel Prazeres
Pedro’s research is placed in the in-between. He binds dance and landscape on a symbiotic relation of crossed knowledge, in resonance through a sensory, proprioceptive and intuitive approach. By turn landscape architect and choreographer, his works belong to the intersection of both creative processes. He plays with changing states of consciousness and in turn perception and challenges the border between the performer and the audience replacing it for a space in between. Today, LiM has become a support structure for this body- landscape investigation, rooted in the heart of the Cévennes National Park. The questions of knowing how the human being transforms his environment and how the environment transforms him at the same time, are central in his artistic investigation.

"What is the relationship between man and the sounds of his environment, and what happens when these sounds change? For the past ten years, jean sanchez has been developing a practice of plastic encounters. A deliberately pluridiciplinary approach, he seeks to extract the philosophies and sensorialities that each form of knowledge offers in relation to its environment. Inspired as much by acoustic research and biology as by philosophy and esotericism, jean sanchez's work strives to create bridges between inaudible forms, highlight unchanging movements, or divert the uses of perception, by questioning the discreet twists and turns hidden behind the obvious. His practice is situated in that space where sound, form, image and words come together to drink tea. inspired by the bend of a landscape howling with inaudible constellations.

I am dedicated to the landscapes of the body in motion and the landscapes in which the body moves. I walk on the path of reading poetry that emerges from the “in-between” of structures of the body. At Limpid Works in Prague, which is one of the spaces available to LIM, I work intimately on Somatic Dialogue, accompanying people and forming other professionals. I am connected to LIM firstly through Pedro Prazeres and then the inspiring members of the group. Our story with Pedro starts at the Conservatory and has been developing ever since through various landscapes in the fields of dance, human relations, creations and encounters.

It’s a drove road, the specific paths where the animals travel.
It's a communication channel, the line between and in-between places.
It's a placeless space, the thick territorial line in which we share what we do.
It’s a performative and curatorial realm, where our thoughts and ideas become artistic programs and performances.
It’s the linear space that embeds all we produce and share it with the public.

It’s a circular landform that gathers water, giving life to its own ecosystem. A fertile ground where life thrives. It’s a cradle.
It's where we sow and nourish our artistic creations.
Where they grow, where they become, and where they live.
From nothing to artistic object, a series of transductions into an art form that can be seen, heard, touched and felt.
